THE CROSS IN PRAYER At that day ye shall ask in My name. John 16:26

We are too much given to thinking of the Cross as something we have to get through; we get through it only in order to get into it. The Cross stands for one thing only for us - a complete and entire and absolute identification with the Lord Jesus Christ, and there is nothing in which this identification is realized more than in prayer. "Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him." Then why ask? The idea of prayer is not in order to get answers from God; prayer is perfect and complete oneness with God. If we pray because we want answers, we will get huffed with God. The answers come every time, but not always in the way we expect, and our spiritual huff shows a refusal to identify ourselves with Our Lord in prayer. We are not here to prove God answers prayer; we are here to be living monuments of God's grace. "I say not that I will pray the Father for you: for the Father Himself loveth you." Have you reached such an intimacy with God that ...

How can I make my prayers effective?

How can I make my prayers effective? I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God's mercy upon them, and give thanks. Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority, so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 NLT Praying effectively Paul urges Timothy to lift up requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving. A request is a need, a deep desire for something we don't have—something only God can supply. A prayer is a word of praise and adoration. A more accurate translation of this word from the original Greek might be to "worship in earnest." Intercession is praying on behalf of others. Our prayers should regularly reflect this kind of selfless lifestyle. Thanksgiving involved remembering those past prayers that have already been answered, acknowledging that we not only trust God's supremacy and involvement in our life but also how his hand has moved and guided ...

Prayer Focus re President Elect

In the “Year of a New Wineskin”, we have just seen our nation shift to the next wineskin related to Civil Government. Remember, we are a people that are a “nation above all nations”. We are called to pray for all of those in authority, not just for those that we preferred to win an election. We are a “peculiar people”, not a political caucus. We are a people who can steer the course of history with our prayers and acts of faith. Jesus had to deal with the mindset of some of His key leadership that were more interested in making Him a king of a nation, than recognizing Him as King of the Kingdom of God. May Holy Spirit go before President-elect Barak Obama upon entering this new season. May Holy Spirit be a rearguard behind him in every decision made for righteousness’ sake. May Holy Spirit continue to be enfolded into the history of this covenant land. May Holy Spirit triumph as this nation goes through great change. As we approach the future, the real issue will be the change of hea...

Stand

From Chuck Pierce Stand firm, do not run! We will see a generation arise that will overthrow the Jezebel structure in the land. Babylonian spirits have brought great confusion into this land. There is coming of God something that will look confusing but will produce a new order in this land. We must not compromise or rearrange our support for God’s covenant land. Babylon is shaking. We must stand in our relation with Israel and watch God produce a people in this land who will stand for our future. Stand and command these spirits that would negatively direct our government to be blown from their position of influence.

Carry on In Christ

We carry on in Him. This is what He gave me to this morning. We have much to do to finish our call to reach those captive to wake up and give life through Christ Jesus in us the Hope of Glory to set them free and stay firm to the call He has on the rest of my short days. 1I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at F7 His appearing and His kingdom: 2Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. Col 4:5 Be wise in the way you act toward those who are outside the Christian faith. Make the mo...

Increase of His Government

I find this enormously comforting today. Our God Reigns! Shirley Weaver Ministries [info@acleartrumpet.org] Increase of His Government Tuesday, November 4, 2008 Governmentally the Body of Messiah is measured according to our mandate to occupy until He comes, to do business until He comes (Lu 18:13). We are no longer afraid of God but reverentially fear and honor Him. We realize the government and rule of God is meant not only for our good, but for the benefit of all. We understand the worldview of His Kingdom, and desire to accomplish that wordlview in our lifetime. We understand what the will of the Lord is, know how to advance it through prayer and righteous living, and dominate in the earth as those who know the reality: “The heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth He has given to men.” We are blessing carriers, sum and substance of His presence on Earth, governed by Him as He governs through us. In this generation – a generation being forty years – I believe we have narrowed the ...

ALIGNMENT NOW!

This was sent from Dot. from the World Prayer Center. The Lord spoke to me directly in August that the Word of the Lord for this season is Alignment. Almost everything I hear from others in declarations and Propehtic words and again in this prayer from the World Prayer Center is Alignment. We must take this seriously NOW. If you don't there will be terrible consequences for you, your family and your ministry. Hear what the Spirit is saying to you to save you. The enemy is mad...as hell...and is out to get each one of us. Jesus is here to save us...minute by minute, and the hours throughout the day. We have to have ears to hear what the Spirit is warning us, exhorting us and leading up to say do and minister. Rise up and preach and teach. Rise up to do what you know needs to be done. Rise up! Ksz Prayer Summary for October 31 Notice: The following information was taught and prayed about during morning prayer session this morning. Shared… The Bible is clear on the fact t...
