THE CROSS IN PRAYER At that day ye shall ask in My name. John 16:26

We are too much given to thinking of the Cross as something we have to get through; we get through it only in order to get into it. The Cross stands for one thing only for us - a complete and entire and absolute identification with the Lord Jesus Christ, and there is nothing in which this identification is realized more than in prayer. "Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him." Then why ask? The idea of prayer is not in order to get answers from God; prayer is perfect and complete oneness with God. If we pray because we want answers, we will get huffed with God. The answers come every time, but not always in the way we expect, and our spiritual huff shows a refusal to identify ourselves with Our Lord in prayer. We are not here to prove God answers prayer; we are here to be living monuments of God's grace. "I say not that I will pray the Father for you: for the Father Himself loveth you." Increase of His Government

I find this enormously comforting today. Our God Reigns! Shirley Weaver Ministries [info@acleartrumpet.org] Increase of His Government Tuesday, November 4, 2008 Governmentally the Body of Messiah is measured according to our mandate to occupy until He comes, to do business until He comes (Lu 18:13). We are no longer afraid of God but reverentially fear and honor Him. We realize the government and rule of God is meant not only for our good, but for the benefit of all. We understand the worldview of His Kingdom, and desire to accomplish that wordlview in our lifetime. We understand what the will of the Lord is, know how to advance it through prayer and righteous living, and dominate in the earth as those who know the reality: “The heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth He has given to men.” We are blessing carriers, sum and substance of His presence on Earth, governed by Him as He governs through us. In this generation – a generation being forty years – I believe we have narrowed the ...

We need an encouraging word don't we?

I pass this prophecy along from others: September 4, 2008 Intercessors Sent: Tuesday, September 02, 2008 Subject: Prophecy about McCain & Palin I have just returned from our Sunday AM service. As you know, we have been involved in 90 days of hosting the Lord’s Presence and it has been powerful…in a personal way. We knew there has been lots of warfare, because when we get home we are tired and need a nap. The Sunday AM celebrations have been just worship, with some intercessory prayer, but no preaching or teaching. This morning after an extended time of worship, Dutch Sheets, our pastor, shared an exhortation, as he called it. During this, we were about to explode in our spirits. I believe you are aware that Dutch was used by the Lord to call prayer before the 2000 Bush election that was so close. He said this morning that this election is perhaps even more critical than 2000, because of the Supreme Court. If the right political posture is not elected, we stand to lose decade...
